Green Vine Snake

Green Vine Snake (Ahaetulla nasuta)

This is a mildly-venomous snake that has a distribution across India. This snake has binocular vision owing to its horizontal eye slits (compared to vertical in most other snakes). When threatened, the snake opens its mouth wide and breaks into a checkered pattern with an intention of looking bigger than it actually is.
